I’m the founder and creative director of Bridge City Theatre Camp, a place where young people discover their voices, build confidence, and experience the magic of storytelling. I’ve spent my life in the world of theatre — performing, teaching, writing original plays and musicals, and helping students discover the best versions of themselves on and off the stage.
A graduate from Chaminade HS in Mineola, NY, I went on to earn my BFA in acting from the University of California, Santa Barbara and my MFA in acting from The Pennsylvania State University. I have been a professional actor for over 30 years, having appeared on stage in New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and Portland. I have also done some films and television shows such as The Librarians, Discovery ID: The Wonderland Murders, Zilla and Zoey, O Negative, Getting Out, and several local and national commercials. I have been teaching for 20 years, beginning as a university instructor before creating after-school acting programs, youth productions, and writing original shows designed specifically for young performers. I was the founder and Artistic Director of Room6 Theatre in Philadelphia and the Groundless Shakespeare Company in Los Angeles.
My background blends conservatory theatre training with a foundation in children's entertainment and education, giving my programs a unique balance of creativity, structure, imagination, guidance, and heart. My excellent team of vibrant counselors and directors are here to ensure that your children are coached, heard, and held in this tradition.
At Bridge City Theatre Camp, we build community through collaboration. Students learn how to trust their instincts, take creative risks, and bring characters to life with joy and authenticity. I want every young artist to leave with greater confidence, empathy, and pride in their uniqueness. In doing so, they learn to embrace differences, recognizing them as evidence of the unblemished perfection of nature's diversity.
Thank you for being here and for supporting a program that believes:
THEATRE BUILDS CHARACTER--BOTH ON AND OFFSTAGE
